What We Do

Politics of Livable Communities & Smart Growth

The Committee for a Livable Future is a political action committee (PAC).

It was founded by Congressman Earl Blumenauer of Oregon to help elect Democratic Members of Congress who support the principles and policies that will make the U.S. government a partner in building and maintaining livable communities.

It is the only political action committee dedicated to supporting candidates who will fight for quality of life issues so important to Americans today and it is playing a key role in helping to elect a pro-livability majority to Congress.

Since its creation in 1996, the Committee for a Livable Future PAC has made contributions to Congressional candidates in more than 190 races and helped elect and re-elect dozens of Members of Congress from all parts of the country.

These Members of Congress are voting today for measures that will shape the future of your community.
